Opening my small business (Silver Spoon Bakeshop) had been wildly rewarding but also took a toll on my free time and more specifically, my exercise habits. Working 12+ hours a day with early morning hours (it’s a bakery so I’m talking really, really early) had worn me down and I knew I needed to get back on track with my fitness and nutrition goals. I hadn’t done any exercise in years and was so scared to jump into something like Base10. I stalked the website, Instagram, and Facebook for at least a month before I had the courage to talk with some of my customers who also attended B^10. Everyone I spoke to LOVED B^10. I was worried I’d never be able to make it work with my hectic schedule but I finally got the courage to email Megan and Brandon. I knew I needed a workout with accountability and structure. I loved how important tracking progress was to them and I was excited to start. I began with personal training and once I was comfortable with the movements and skills, I started attending group classes. Looking back, I wish I had started sooner. Not only am I stronger than I’ve ever been but I’ve made so many wonderful friends that I would have never met otherwise. B^10 is really like having a second family and I could not be more thankful to taken that huge step almost 2 years ago!
WHAT MUSIC DAY PUMPS YOU UP THE MOST IN THE GYM?
Girl power Monday of course! I try to live by the “never miss a Monday” rule so it’s a fun way to kick of the week with a fresh start and female empowerment!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF WORKOUT?
I really like chipper workouts with high reps and anything with deadlifts and double unders.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE?
Since I’m surrounded by sweet guilty pleasures all day at the bakery, my guilty pleasures are things that are salty. I love French fries, chips, popcorn, cheeseburgers, Chic-fil-a, Mexican food… I could go on and on!
