Working out at Base 10 has completely altered my life in several significant ways. For one, it has contributed to a total shift in how I view my body. I no longer covet being “skinny.” I love my newly found muscles and for the first time in my life I’m working towards strength goals and not weight loss goals. However, what I love the most about Base 10 is the sense of community I feel with these crazy people. I’ve made some amazing friends and when I get off work after a stressful day I can’t wait to get to the gym and see my favorite group of people.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE?
Crocheting for hours while binge watching Lord of the Rings, drinking hot tea, and eating sweet potatoes with copious amounts of peanut butter. All done simultaneously of course.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF WORKOUT?
Anything that incorporates pull ups. It took me months to get one (best day ever) and I still get excited when we do them. Also, even though wall balls are the bane of my existence I enjoy the workouts that have them because I really have to push myself to finish with a good time.
WHAT MUSIC DAY PUMPS YOU UP THE MOST IN THE GYM?
Dubstep Thursday, for sure. Something about the crazy beats gets me hyped up.
